On the flat, the subdivisions around Decoto and Alvarado have the drainage pattern the era liked: a wide roof plane, a long run and an outlet at one end of it. In a steady shower that works. In the first serious front of the winter the water arrives faster than one pipe can pass it and the run overtops in the middle, furthest from the way out.
