Employees, not subcontractors. When you hire us, you aren't being passed to another company for the installation. The people doing the work know the job from the start and stay with it through the cleanup. If something needs explaining, ask. You should understand what is happening to your home while the work is under way.
Roof and gutter work can be hard to judge from the ground. You can see the finished covering, but much of the work is underneath it or tucked against an edge. We want the estimate and the final walk-through to make those details clear. If you have a question after the work is finished, our Brentwood office is the place to start.
Before work starts, point out anything around the house that needs particular care: a flowerbed below the roof edge, a narrow side yard or a driveway you need to keep using. We plan for protecting the area and clearing up debris, including checking for stray fasteners. These are practical parts of the job, not details to leave until the last afternoon.
We check the parts that keep water moving: flashing around roof openings, the layers beneath valleys and the slope toward gutter outlets. The fascia board behind a gutter matters too. Fastening a new gutter to weakened wood leaves the original problem in place. The estimate should distinguish the work we can see from anything that may need a closer look once materials come off.
Full roof replacement, five years onThey replaced the roof on our Antioch house and it has come through every winter since without a mark on the ceiling. When the inspector asked for work outside the scope they did it without adding to the price.
Gutter cleaning and repair, two-story homeThey cleared the gutters and the downspouts on our two-story house in Brentwood and soldered the leaks we had been putting up with. The office answered every question I sent and the crew left the driveway swept.

Skylights
VELUX skylights, 10 years leak-freeAdd daylight to a dark room, replace an old unit or find out why one is leaking. We install VELUX skylights and fit the flashing that keeps rain from getting in around them.
How it goes
The same four steps every time
We start by looking at what needs attention, then put the proposed work and price in writing. You can ask questions before deciding to go ahead. Once the job is finished, we walk through the work with you and explain the warranty. A small repair and a whole replacement differ in size, but you should understand what happens next in either case.

Free inspection
We look at the problem you've noticed and the roof and gutter details around it. A stain indoors is a starting point, not a diagnosis.

Written estimate
You can read through the work and the cost before making a decision. Ask us to explain any item you don't understand.

Installation
We agree on when work will happen and discuss access to the house. The people who begin the job stay through the cleanup.

Walk-through and warranty
We go through the finished job together and give you the warranty in writing. This is a chance to ask about care and follow-up too.
